Yes to all of this. I once had someone comment on an article clearly without reading it, and then when I called her out on it, she became defensive. The title was obviously what can be considered click bait, and instead of recognising that and going ‘mmm, maybe there’s something here and it’s not quite what it seems’, she comments on what the title, alone, said. I was infuriated at how blatantly obvious that was, and the fact that she didn’t care that it was come across that way. And she had over 2k followers, so she should have known better.
