Why You Should Write Down Every Stupid Plot Idea That Comes Into Your Head
A few years ago, I joined a Facebook group for scriptwriters living in London. Yes, a Facebook group… remember those? Who knew they would one day go out of style? Anyway, I connected with a few of them over Messenger and comments on posts. We talked about scripts, plays, films, we posted articles, blogposts, we shared tips on making it as a writer in London or anywhere — we are still trying to figure that one out!
Then, a few weeks into it, I arranged to meet one of them in real life.
We met for lunch at this Italian place in Central London one Saturday afternoon. We shared a few career and life stories. Tina had had two stage plays in the semi-finals of a few competitions up until that point, I had a few award-winning blog articles and was writing my first feature film, we both suffered from writer’s block from time to time, we both really liked the Facebook group we knew each from and the people in it, etc… You know, the usual writer stuff.
