Red, White and Royal Blue is perfect escapism though. It’s the kind of movie where ordinarily the focus would be a hetero couple, but it’s a gay couple instead. I think it’s important to show all aspect of queer life in as many mediums and genres as possible, and lovey-dovey rom-com is one of them.
