Halloween Costumes For Film Buffs
Oh Halloween! Ever since I moved to London, Halloween has always been something to look forward to. What started out as an American thing, has touched the hearts of millions all around the world. Unlike deep-fried butter. Halloween is just a ridiculously fun event and a great excuse for a party! And more importantly, a great excuse to wear an over-the-top costume, which is obvioulsy the whole point.
But every year, come October, people ask themselves the same question. What should I go as? Unless you’ve been thinking about Halloween since May, you probably have a few options when it comes to costumes. Or none at all. And personally, I find it even harder to come up with something as a film buff! Honestly, the pressure is way too much. I want to go as some film-related thing and I feel like people sort of expect me to, you know? My reputation depends on it, don’t you know?
Anyhoo, three years ago, I went as a panther. It was an eco-friendly party and we were supposed to wear a costume made out of things we had in the house instead of going out and buying stuff, so I went absolutely mental on the makeup.
Two years ago, I went as a Twilight Zone sort of concept. I wore a suit, a la Rod Serling, and then I did the opening credits on my face, all make-up. Took me 2 hours and it was so worth it. Everyone loved it!
