Haha that’s what I thought when I was watching the film and Simon Mayo made those exact jokes on…

…fe shelters during bombing raids. I also enjoyed Paul Weller’s performance as George’s grandfather. Yes, you can now insert jokes about “Going Underground” or “Down in the Tube Station at Midnight”, and yes, they occurred to me as well whilst watching.
