10 songs everyone loves… except me

Yeah, we’re doing one of those… I’ll get to movies later, but for now, let’s talk about songs that everyone loves. Except me. And yes, I did indeed talk to all 7 billion people on the planet, it’s called research.

Disclaimer: personal opinion, doesn’t mean they’re bad songs, yadda yadda, yadda. Let us go.

1. Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John and Kiki Dee — We start off with a bona fide classic… that just gets on my nerves. Jesus Christ. This is such a silly, irritating, childish, overplayed song that should just go away forever.

2. Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabriel — It just feels like it wants to go somewhere and it never does. I like the intro, the build-up is great, and then… nothing. For 4 minutes!

3. Love and Pride by King — On paper, it looks like the sort of thing I would absolutely love. But Jesus Christ, those drums kick in and the guy starts singing, while wearing that ludicrous green suit in the music video, and my blood starts boiling.

4. Frozen by Madonna — I love Madonna, she’s one of my absolute favorite artists of all time, but I have never, ever liked Frozen. It’s just too bland for me. The video’s cool, but the song doesn’t do it for me.

5. Me and Mrs Jones by Billy Paul — Nope, sorry, not having it. A song that kind of sort of…
